Subject: NTOU Summer Dormitory Closure Notice Second Dormitory (Female Residents)
Instruction:
The Second Dormitory will close at 12:00 PM on Friday, August 28, 2026. All summer residents must complete the check-out procedure before the dormitory closes.
1. Complete your check-out during the front desk service hours:
o Weekdays: 9:00 AM – 7:50 PM
o Weekends: 10:00 AM – 7:50 PM
2. Due to scheduled maintenance of the University's Coastal Main Substation, the Fourth Dormitory will experience a power outage from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Friday, August 28. Elevators will be out of service during the outage. Summer residents are strongly advised to complete their move before the outage to avoid delays during check-out.
3. The Fourth Dormitory and Mulan Student Dormitory for the 2026–2027 Academic Year will begin accepting early check-ins for summer residents from 9:00 AM on Wednesday, August 26. Check-in procedures must be completed during front desk service hours. Please refer to the relevant announcement for detailed check-in information.
1. Remove all personal belongings from your bed space and thoroughly clean your room. The last resident leaving the room is responsible for cleaning the shared areas.
2. Take room clearance photos:
o Open all drawers and cabinet doors.
o Photos must clearly show the following: Bed frame, Bookshelf, Storage cabinet, Wardrobe, Desk, Area beneath the desk, Shared floor area
3. Complete the Summer Dormitory Check-out Application Form at the dormitory front desk.
4. After the front desk staff verify your room clearance photos, return your room key, then sign and date the check-out register to complete the check-out process.
1. To facilitate summer dormitory closure and preparations for the new academic year, the Second Dormitory front desk will resume operation by the Second Dormitory Student Dormitory Committee beginning August 26. The student committee will assist residents with summer check-in and check-out procedures.
2. The shared refrigerator and kitchen will close immediately after cleaning at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 26. Please remove all personal belongings before that time. Any items left in the refrigerator or kitchen after cleaning will be considered abandoned property and will be disposed of without further notice.
3. Campus Vehicle Access for Move-out
I. Vehicle access for move-out is available from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Friday, August 28, subject to the operating hours of the Beining Gate parking booth.
II. Residents moving out by car may obtain a parking fee waiver ticket from any dormitory front desk. Present the ticket to the Beining Gate parking booth when leaving campus to receive free parking. Vehicles leaving outside the designated period or without a valid ticket will be charged according to University regulations.
III. Motorcycles are permitted to enter campus for move-out purposes only after leaving a personal identification document at the campus gate. They must leave campus immediately after unloading.
4. Before checking out, please ensure that:
I. All room facilities (telephone, fan, air conditioner, mirror, chair, etc.) are in good working condition. If any equipment is damaged, please submit a repair request through the University's maintenance system as soon as possible.
II. Floors, desks, and the area beneath the bed are clean and free of dust and hair.
III. The bed frame, drawers, and all cabinets are completely empty and free of trash.
IV. The room telephone has been wiped clean.
5. Trash Disposal: Beginning August 24, the temporary trash collection area will remain open all day. When checking out, please dispose of your garbage in the designated waste collection bins beside the utility cabin.
6. Personal Belongings
Before checking out, please make sure you have collected all personal belongings, including mail, umbrellas, clothing from the drying area, and any other personal items.
The University is not responsible for storing, compensating for, or assisting in locating any belongings left behind after check-out. Residents who fail to complete the check-out procedure by the deadline or leave personal belongings in the dormitory will be deemed to have abandoned those items. Such items will be removed and disposed of without further notice or a lost-and-found announcement.
7. Moving carts are available for loan at each dormitory. Please register at the front desk before use.
8. Please plan your move-out schedule in advance. If you are unable to complete the check-out procedure on time due to special circumstances, please contact the dormitory office as early as possible.
9. Residents who are not staying in the summer dormitory may begin checking in from 9:00 AM on Saturday, August 29, during front desk service hours. Please refer to the relevant announcement for detailed check-in information.
