Regulations for Election of Student Representative for Student Affairs Meeting

Article 1     To protect student rights and interests, enhance teacher-student communication, and promote campus harmony, the "National Taiwan Ocean University Regulations for Election of Student Representative for Student Affairs Meeting" (hereinafter referred to as "these Regulations ") is established.

Article 2     The Student Affairs Meeting of National Taiwan Ocean University (hereinafter referred to as "the University") shall have student representatives, consisting of one student representative from each college, three representatives from the Student Union, one representative from the Student Dormitory Committee, one representative from the Continuing and Extension Education Department, one graduate student representative, and one representative from the Alumni Association.

Article 3     The election method for the student representatives of the University's Student Affairs Meeting is as follows:

1.    Each college's student representative: The head of the Division of Extracurricular Activities serves as the convener, calling together presidents of each department's student association to mutually elect one representative per college. The presidents of each department's student association are elected according to the organization's constitution.

2.    Student Union representatives: Representatives are elected within the Student Union.

3.    Student Dormitory Committee representative: The representative is elected within the Student Dormitory Committee.

4.    Continuing and Extension Education Department student representative: Elected with the assistance of the Continuing and Extension Education Division.

5.    Graduate student representative: The head of the Division of Extracurricular Activities serves as the convener, calling together representatives of graduate classes to mutually elect one representative.

6.    Alumni Association representative: Elected within the Alumni Association.

Article 4     All the aforementioned student representatives shall be elected within two weeks of the start of each academic year.

Article 5     The term of office for all the aforementioned students is one academic year, with the possibility of re-election for one consecutive term.

Article 6     These Regulations shall be implemented after being approved by the Student Affairs Meeting.

Note:  These regulations are formulated in Chinese. In case of any discrepancies between the English and Chinese versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
