Mulan Student Dormitory – Electricity Usage Guidelines

In accordance with Article 6 of the National Taiwan Ocean University Regulations for Student Dormitory Fee Refund and Collection, the following guidelines apply:

²  Scope of Use

Electricity is provided for air conditioning and 110V outlets in dorm rooms. Electricity quotas are credited to each dorm room’s cloud-based meter.

²  Electricity Quota

Ø  Amount: NT$1,050 per person per semester (included in the accommodation fee; summer sessions are calculated separately).
For a room with 4 residents, the total quota is NT$4,200.
If additional students are assigned later, the quota will be adjusted proportionally.

Ø  Credit Timing: On the first day of dormitory opening each semester/summer session, the quota will be credited based on the number of residents who have completed payment.
(Students moving in early during summer should consider topping up at their own expense.)

1.      On the first day of the fall semester, NT$2,100 will be pre-credited to each room.

2.      Within 1–2 weeks after the semester begins, adjustments will be made according to the actual number of residents. The balance will be credited or deducted within 3 working days.

Ø  After quota allocation, if room assignments change (including withdrawal or room transfer), roommates must settle balances among themselves.

Ø  The quota is shared by all four roommates. Please coordinate with your roommates if any issues arise.

Ø  If the quota is depleted during the semester or summer stay, students may top up using the Dormitory Electricity Auto Top-up Machine (3F).

Ø  Students are advised to top up based on actual electricity usage. Remaining balances in the cloud meter will not be refunded.

²  Balance Inquiry and Transfer

At the start of the semester/summer session, one representative from each room must collect a password card at Room 301. After logging in, the password may be changed.

Note:

Please keep your password secure and do not share it.

If you forget your password, bring your student ID to Room 301 to reset it with the dormitory staff.

²  Low Balance Notifications

Please follow the official Facebook fan page (search: Ntou Mulan Dorm). Notifications will be posted when dormitory electricity balances are low. Students should top up in advance to avoid power outages.
